Two became Three...

Driving to work one morning, I was listening to a radio show and I was inspired by the story of a lady who was sharing her journey of adoption. Her husband had divorced her due to infertility and 10 years later she happily adopted 3 children. Surprisingly, when I got home to share the story with my wife, she too had been listening to another talk radio show and they were discussing the new adoption bill which is pro public adoptions. Listeners were calling in and even adoptees, all were very disgruntled by this bill and sharing their horrible experiences with public adoptions.

It was as if we both had a light bulb moment as we agreed on the spot that we should pursue adoption for our family as soon as possible.

In the quest to find credible, reputable adoption agencies, we were referred to PROCARE. Little did we know, this small step, would change our lives forever.

It’s been 6 weeks since we first laid eyes on our little shining star and she has brought us nothing but so much love, happiness, joy and renewed purpose in life. That together with a sprinkle of sleepless nights of feeding and diaper changing. It’s been a magical and blessed 6 weeks indeed.

We look into her eyes and see all the possibilities the future holds for us as a family, but we can’t help but reflect on our PROCARE journey of which without them, none of this would have been possible.

PROCARE...PRO-FESSIONAL...PRO-ACTIVE...PRO-BABIES...PRO-PARENTS!!!

If we had to describe the process leading up to and including hand over day, one word sticks out - SEAMLESS!!

What we had anticipated to be a long, indefinite, highly frustrating journey, ended up being the total opposite! PROCARE held our hand and projected timelines as if they had a crystal ball. From the day of orientation, we felt safe in their hands and we were not at all confused about anything as they were patient and professional enough to share as much information as possible and encourage Q&A at any time. We loved the fact that we could have direct contact with our social worker, with all questions answered, all doubts cleared, and the journey detailed to the tee. All the way to seeing baby’s profile, our first phone call to the kangaroo parents, we were given love and assurance all the time.

How nervous we were, taking a flight to Cape Town for the hand over. But God went before us as we received with such professionalism and care. The Social worker worked a miracle and the process went without a hitch.

Meeting the Kangaroo parents was such a special moment, Gods angels indeed. There are no words to express our gratitude, God bless you, the love you have for baby was felt right through.

From the moment we laid our eyes on her, we were complete. she gazed at us as though she could see our souls. What God has put together, let no man come between. Meeting baby felt like a prophecy, what we believe was meant to be.

As she came into our lives, it was not only an instant Family but more like an instant community. Our family and friends are so I love with our little angel, she is truly home. We cherish every smile, every cry, every growl, every diaper, every bath, every stroll, all the sleepless nights and the happy bubbly morning.

After all she is Our Little Bubble, she’s our Gemini.
